Sagenhafte 13 Milliarden Streams hat Joji bereits auf

bedenkt, dass er erst 2018 sein Debütalbum
veröffentlichte und zudem das Scheinwerferlicht meidet -
es gibt wohl wenige aktuelle Artists, die so sehr die Musik
für sich sprechen lassen und sich ansonsten
geheimnisvoll im Hintergrund halten. Der Aufstieg des in
Japan geborenen und seit seinem 18. Geburtstag in den
USA lebenden Sängers und Produzenten ist trotzdem

12. Mai erscheint sein neues Album " SMITHEREENS"
auch auf Vinyl. Jojis dritter Longplayer folgt auf das 2020
veröffentlichte "Nectar".
Das Album ist unterteilt in zwei Hälften: Auf SIDE A
erwarten uns wehmütige und nachdenkliche Balladen,
eingebettet in satte Produktionen, die Song für Song in
neuer Schönheit erstrahlen. Mit diesen Songs schlägt Joji
somit eine reifere klangliche Richtung ein. In der
weitestgehend von Joji selbst produzierten SIDE B spannt
er indes den Bogen zu seinen experimentellen Anfängen
als Künstler und steigt tiefer in die Lo-fi- und leicht aus
den Angeln gehobenen Sounds ein, für die man ihn
kennt.

Joji announces his new album, entitled SMITHEREENS, set for release on November 4th, 2022 via 88rising. SMITHEREENS – already one of the most anticipated new albums of the year – is the follow-up to Joji’s 2020 sophomore album Nectar and features the worldwide hit single “Glimpse of Us,” which has gone Gold since its release in June 2022.
