■ Die kanadische Rockband Sum 41 wurde 1996 in Ajax, Ontario, gegründet. Im Jahr 2000 veröffentlichten sie ihr erstes Extended Play Half Hour Of Power auf Big Rig Records, einer Tochtergesellschaft von Island Records. Offiziell ist es eine EP, aber viele betrachten es als ihr erstes Studioalbum. Es wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit Greig Nori von Leadsänger und Frontmann Deryck Whibley (auch bekannt als Bizzy D) produziert. Die Veröffentlichung wurde sehr gut aufgenommen und erreichte Platz 36 der Billboard's Heatseekers Charts. Das Cover zeigt Schlagzeuger Steve Jocz, der eine Nerf-Gun in die Luft.
