Original Flavor originally consisted of Ski aka Ski Beatz (Reasonable Doubt, Camp Lo, Pilot Talk, 24hr Karate School) and Suave Lover and released two albums—This Is How It Is (1992) and Beyond Flavor (1994). On Beyond Flavor, Suave Lover was replaced by T-Strong and DJ Chubby Chub. Their biggets hit "Can I Get Open," off Beyond Flavor was realeased in late 1993 and reached #46 on the Billboard chart. The track prominently features Jay-Z. The group, managed by Damon Dash and cousin Darien Dash, disbanded after it released Beyond Flavor but Ski went on to work with Roc-A-Fella Records, Camp Lo, Curren$y, Murs and many others.
