The inaugural EP from new London based minimal label, HosshWax.
Splitting his time between London and Rome, Label Boss Ankel introduces himself under a brand new alias with his minimal, grooving tech house influences from the past two decades at the forefront of his new sound.
Whispers opens the EP with a spacey roller featuring soft pads and shuffling percussion giving up a peak time dance floor heater. Young Peruvian Alejandro Cuestas offer up his take on I’ll Never Be Free, a slightly lighter version of the original with a more housey blend of rolling, dubby base and refreshing hi hats while on the flip side established Berliner and Club De Visionaire stalwart David Delgado comes in with a spaced out early morning mind bender with his remix of Ithe same track. Finishing off the EP, Tommy Vicari Jnr offers a tougher version of Ankel’s Floating Mind with a ruggedness that pulls out a more demanding bassline aligned with submerged, bubbly fx that bring a uniqueness to this dance floor ready remix.
