Mental Groove Music and Musique Pour La Danse are ecstatic (and there couldn’t be any better way to express our feelings here) to announce the first volume of Mental Groove Classics, music played at the early warehouse raves and illegal fields parties of the same name. A compilation of rare, forgotten or sought after gems, topped with extra loops and intros for the working DJs, and each side of the record ends in style with original pirate radio cuts which showcase the music in its original context, extended liner notes and interviews of the featured artists by DJ, producer and radio host Jerome Hill of Don’t / Super Rhythm Trax / Kool FM London fame. All tracks are remastered from the original sources by former Dubplates & Mastering engineer Frederic Stader (aka Dj Maxximus / Warp Records) and cut by Daniel Krieger at the legendary Schallplatten Schneid Technik studios
