Halogens latest release brings two seasoned craftsmen, Ilk & Etch together for a collaborative effort on My Soul. The two combine their production skills for a soulful stepper with intricate drum patterns layered with classic breakbeats, soul samples, and heavy sub bass - taking the listener back to the classic 90 s jungle era with modern day influences. The B-side features remix duties from Danny Scrilla. Danny is a well seasoned producer with releases on such labels as Cosmic Bridge, Civil Music, Rudimentary Records, and most recent Zam Zam Sounds. Danny brings his integrity to My Soul with a heavy 808 halftime intro, seductive piano work, and detailed horn stabs, leading the listener into a melodic dance floor jungle shuffle with a delicate vocal sample weaving in and out of the track sending chills down your spine.
