New Watergate resident Matthias Meyer was recently added to our booking agency - his debut on Watergate Records is called “Becuz” and hereby it immediately answers every potential question. The eponymous Track has the atmospheric density of an approaching storm front that discharges into epic organ-hooks and shredded vocals. Appropriate to that the B-side begins with “November Rain", a beat-driven techno-anthem with foggy synth-spheres and “closed eyes"-attitude. Mario Basanovs a.k.a. Ten Walls’ interpretation has more contours and a percussive touch that keeps the mood of the original unchanged: November rain in a tropical rainforest. An astonishing EP with two great tracks and a wonderful remix.
