Comeme means a body that gives itself away. Everynow and then worldwide heralds of the loony beats, ritmo lunatics and self-styled electronic primitives join in for a nightlife fiction to become reality. This collective fantasy, utterly devoted to the dark side of the mirror ball, keeps a certain wanderlust. So, if you happen to have your globe at hand, let us twist the ball around and spotlight the places of Comeme, episode 15.

First stop is London. Richard X, Svengali pop-hitmaker (Sugababes, Kelis, Annie, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode etc.) and bootleg prankster (Girls On Top) is the man who also thankfully brought to usÊthe unreleased early Human League/The Future album on his Black Melody imprint. Now hyperactive DJ Nathan Gregory Wilkins (Disco Bloodbath, DalstonÊSuperstore, Le Baron, David Lynch's Silencio in Paris etc.), acclaimed darling of fashion world's best and co-founder of the wonderful History Clock label, has managed to pull his old friend Richard away from pop and back to the underground for a one off collaboration called "Shake". Cowboy Rhythmbox they aptly coin themselves since this track is a truly untamed rodeo ride on acute percussive energy. An 808 kick, a cheerleading chant and a mighty electrofunkified staccato of drum turbulence. No further ingredient is needed to actually get us exquisitely centrifuged. Next station is Medellin/Colombia where the local ghostclub Perro Negro (Black Dog) attracts a dance culture of like-minded shadow-affine disco noirists, of young icarusses in reverse, living out loud reminiscences of Medellin's golden age demimonde. One of those kids is Sano, after Dany F the next Cómeme artist emerging from that scene. Featuring his friend Manu and with the help of Gregorio Gómez "Quiero Bailar" goes in the vein of a jagged yet carnal latin house style, recalling early 90s Dope Wax, Nu Groove, "Boriqua Posse" and Todd Terry at his roughest, only to make it even more fierce and acidic. "Que Rico" is a lullaby for the Damien in you. Alongside Alejandro Paz from Santiago, Moscow's Philipp Gorbachev and intercontinental drifter Matias Aguayo, Cómeme´s newly founded rhythm section called The District Union supports the Funk Brothers-like instrumental backing for a tune by Jonathan Burnip aka Capracara. Jonny also co-runs History Clock records and besides from releasing twisted 21st century acid house and prepping material with Quiet Village's Joel Martin under the name Churchill's Leopards he has a love of global rhythms and primitive body-music which lead to a kinship with Cómeme. His "Nickel Ride" is one of those popcorny whistle tunes that settle in your system. It´s a vicious little coup d'etat against your state of resistance. So forget about your will but this sneaky melody you won´t forget. And due The District Union´s beatwise co-conspiracy you can forget about control of your lower limbs too. Final stop is Buenos Aires where since the early 90s until today Mariano Caloso and Diego Irasusta aka DJs Pareja have become famous for playing the most important clubs of their choice while by the way seizing a "perfecto radar" for going cruising and celebrating their idea of a "chongo", which is a male fantasy of a male. They love pop, they love house music and have documented this successfully on their records released in Buenos Aires and later on History Clock and Cómeme.Ê"Tacha" is a quicksilver spitting pump, an overloaded gargoyle of speedy seedy exaltation. It can be a pleasure to stand in the way.
