On >Work That Shit Party<, a Fingers Inc. style rhythm buttresses a two-note riff, a crackling male voice filtering in from the ether. A pinging keyboard zips around before that two-note flicker expands and contracts, warps and wheedles. But around halfway in, a female vocal refrain of >Gonna work it out< breaks fat lacerations into pinholes, blaring keyboards seeping in through the gaps and crevices. Then, as with >D117<, it is the congealing of all these disparate elements: A work it out from Fischerspooners Lizzy Yoder sashaying with the two-note riff, the keyboards bouncing off the ceiling, and flaring hi-hats fraying the surface played by Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem). Each portion is given its due, only to make the ensuing combination that much more enthralling.
