James Creed is a family member in the truest sense and has been part of the big wheel for a while now, not only is he a hardworking crew member but also a very talented producer in his own right. KLS014 is the debut EP from James and we are proud to introduce the world to this unique music maker. The Soft Parade comes in the form of two original tracks from James, the decision was taken to leave out the possibility of all remixes from the release and let the two pieces of music shine for themselves.
First track, Snarf is a work of melodic house with 'tech' influences, intricate beats and percussion evolve and interact with strange FX, bouncing 808 toms and swollen rhodes. A stuttered vocal tap provides energy and anticipation, floating over and under the drops and breakdowns, whilst a live organ freestyles playfully, adding an organic feel to this detailed track.
The title track of the EP - The Soft Parade, slows the pace down a little but still manages to retain the energy and impact of the A-side. James works his hyper-edited grooves over reverse strings and soft stabs and slowly adds elements until the track blossoms into a breakdown. The following drop is pure sunshine, perfect for those summer dreams during these winter months.[info from dj]
