Our latest signing hails from the beautiful shores of Ireland.. Ian O’Donovan is a perfect example of how fast a career can develop thanks to the wonders of the internet. On Soundcloud he received massive support from day one from none other then living legend Laurent Garnier, who plays his tracks in his DJ sets and on his Radio Station PBB. Others like Dave Clarke and John Digweed were soon to follow and a promising career was born.

Digweed released the wonderful ‘Aurora Borealis’ EP earlier this your on his Bedrock imprint and much more is already scheduled to follow on many more respected imprints.

Firstly however there is our epic 12" on Wolfskuil. And when we say epic, we really do mean it. ‘En Verano’ is a true, Detroit influenced techno anthem at it’s best. Ian takes his time to build the two mixes of ‘En Verano’, both carefully arranged and orchestrated.

In the housey ‘Dawn Mix’ the main piano melody is introduced with perfect timing in a stunning breakdown, after which Ian shows true craftsmanship by layering the piano theme with several extra melodies in different harmonies and structures. A truly amazing piece of work, which has been roadtested extensively be label boss Darko Esser during the festival season.

The ‘Dusk Mix’ is the more techno orientated and stripped down version, but the result on the dancefloor is an equal: pure ecstasy.

Last but certainly not least is ‘The Last Stand’, with Ian’s trademark melodies and atmosphere written all over it. A deep and moody tear-jerker, with a distinct human touch, from the use of vocals and organic sounds. Perfect for late nights and early mornings.
