Dance Disorder (aka Baby G and Robin Crafoord) have lived up to their reputation with
and extremely successful BPitch debut. The Disco smash ìZusammenî, with its epic breadth
and Italo dance roots, has already had the chance to set many an after party in motion. Of
course, there was still somethingDance Disorder owed us - and here it is at last, a highcalibre
and very fittingly compiled remix 12”.
The A side belongs to Mr. G, aka Colin Mc Bean. He already immortalised himself in the
history books of club music a decade and a half ago as The Advent. Since ë99 he has put
his name to countless 12” EPs and his album has just been released on Rekids. The Brit has
not been lazy on the remix front either, having worked on tracks by Miss Kittin and Josh
Wink. He reduces ìZusammenî to its basic, specifically tech-house elements: a straight but
relaxed beat and an unobtrusive sub-bass which nevertheless drives you compellingly towards
the dance floor.
The illustrious get-together continues with Discodromo. The two Venetian Berlin residents
Giacomo Garavelloni and Giovanni Turco are not unknown as party organisers - they are
responsible for Cocktail D'Amore at Berlinís Berghain. As remixers the pair of Italo disco
specialists deliver an outstanding debut. They leave the wonderful melodic elements of the
original largely untouched and underline its dance floor attraction with a powerful, earlydropping
beat.
