You might not think youre familiar with Kramer, but chances are youve heard his music before. Better known as Larrson, the Berlin-based DJ/producer has released a series of acclaimed 12inchs on esteemed labels like Traum Schallplatten and BPitch Control. He now adopts the Kramer guise to deliver a 3-track EP of smart electroinfluenced and minimal house on Berlins Get Physical. Kramers first forays into music were as a singer, guitarist and songwriter, it was hearing BPitch boss Ellen Allien DJ for the first time that inspired him to make and play electronic music. His rock/funk prehistory is subtly apparent in the EPs A1, >Runner<, which begins with a warm, rounded kick and busy, clicking percussion before urgent hi-hats and a hard snare sound take over and aim the tune squarely at the dancefloor.
