for our 3rd release, we are proud to present an important fixture and compatriot of the underground elec-tronic scene of milan, the inimitable luca doobie. while his recent, groove oriented brand of house has been well documented and received on labels such as freerange and safari electronique (among many others), we are happy to have secured a veritable bomb of an ep, entitled _south america_. comprised of 3 original productions, it perfectly showcases luca_s abilities as a producer and arranger, whether he is rocking the dense tribal-esque beats on the titular _south america_ or utilizing driving, swinging basslines such as the one in _backward_ or even venturing into heads down, hypnotic techno territories as he so effortlessly does in _nepture_. already supported by ellen allien, ivan smagghe, mistress barbara, mark knight, cristian varela, onionz, simon & shaker, technasia, gel abril, eric entrena, terry francis, omid 16, desyn masiello

incl lucca doobie (heimatmelodie, acker, off) remix!! soundselective debuts with millys own release >encounters ep< - a space inspired three tracker with luca doobie on remix duties. >encounters< is a groovy minimal slice of electronica with a riff that is an ode to the tracks title and features some superb tension and builds to create maximum dancefloor impact. luca doobie takes the originals dark and atmospheric theme one step further, turning out a driving percussive roller with some dark quirky grooves. >shibuya 109< rounds off the package and is a chugging tech house track built around funky synths, spacey sounds and calibrated electronic percussions. a sparse vocal sample recorded inside the tokyo ginza metro line adds some real feeling to the groove of the track. this is a sterling start to the soundselective records and is not to be missed
