immer schön wenn begeisterte dj-feedbacks reinkommen. wenn eine platte allerdings zwei monate vor release, noch bevor die promo-maschinerie angelaufen ist, ja eigentlich sogar bevor die b-seite festgelegt ist, schon in so vielen dj-charts gelandet ist, dass der titel in den top 20 des groove magazins auftaucht - dann darf man sich schon ein bisschen wundern. hört man den track um den es hier geht, nämlich holger zilskes „mes yeux“wundert man sich allerdings schon deutlich weniger. was zilske hier als ersten vorboten zu seinem nicht minder grandiosen album holz (play cd 025, erscheint am 5. mai 2009) abgeliefert hat, ist selbst bei nüchternsterbetrach¬tung ganz einfach ein hit. was verhallt-melancholisch beginnt steigert sich im verlauf des tracks zu einem dermaßen deep-psyche¬delischem disco-epos, dass man sich unwillkürlich beginnt zu fragen welche art von drogen einen zuletzt auf einen solchen trip geschickt haben. mes yeux ist die art von clubtrack, bei denen die einen wissend lächeln, während die anderen hektisch richtung dj stürmen um herauszufinden, wo zur hölle mandiese platte möglichst schnell herbekommt.
