captn k from picnic is busy writing dance jams for his next release but in the mean time has decided to give us a couple of groovers he whipped up to play at his local and they are the perfect pub tunes (and long enough to grab a beer and visit the loo). swamp groove is a blues groover that keeps the heads bopping and the beer flowing, a solid beat and a swampy vibe provided by smooth blues guitar by label affiliate bretski. jews harp, melodica and random percussion help define this bayou style beat. on the flip is gravyboatagain sitting on a solid beat with funky guitar and trumpet excursions throughout the track giving it a funky jazz feel, sounds better through speakers than on paper...check it out
