montreal-based outdoor enthusiast unknown mobile offers up his debut on normals welcome with this 12inch full of gentle hand drums and wavy melodies. percussion guides the way through levels of airy pads and catchy synth lines on 3 solo cuts. his dancefloor sensibilities then interlock with vancouver s amiable big zen for a spaced-out collaborative track on the b side.

our first normals welcome v/a 12” sees some familiar faces as well as some freshies to hit the label. the a side represents two vancouver, bc based projects: esb and ambien baby (a new collab group from sophie sweetland aka d. tiffany, and daniel rincon). the paronomasiac aka nik kozub, head honcho at nw starts off the b side, with london, uk duo metropolitan soul museum rounding it all off.

muchias is a collaborative project from normals welcome co-founder nik kozub (the paronomasiac / shout out out out out) and modular synth artist borys (who has toured extensively supporting junior boys, and whose collaborations with junior boys’ jeremy greenspan have seen release on the jiaolong and hyperdub labels). brooding modular techno, acid, and a hint of new beat influence are all represented on this compelling 4 tracker.

khotin (normals welcome resident) returns for his second release on our imprint after his well received releases on 1080p and fauxpas musik. he joins up with australia’s dan white, whose release on forbidden planet found it’s way into our record bags this past year. deep space acid vibe on this one. 2 tracks per side by each artist.
