terekke drifts gracefully onto music from memory with a long player of looping ambient pad pressure. big tip! the recording of improvisational loops began in 2012 during yoga classes at body actualized center in nyc. in the spirit of past new age or minimal music, it aims to open up a space within the room giving the listener a chance to explore inward or outward. it was recorded using a digital synthesizer, reverb, and looper. terekke, january 2018

a modular synthesiser and an urge to find interesting tones, textures and timbres... ekke s second lp klangfarbenmodular is due to bevreleased by detroit underground . it is electronic music with compositions that deal with abstract textures, glitchy beats, nostalgic synth melodies, and sound design. like the title of the album suggests, one of the main interests for ekke has been finding different interesting tone-colours, textures and timbres. second very important inspiration for ekke while composing this material was his instrument – modular synthesiser. he has been studying free improvisation and composition on that instrument for years and the instrument has become like a good friend and music teacher for him. the album was composed and recorded during 2015-2017. most of the material has been recorded as studio jam sessions. all the pieces have then gone through many reincarnations. although most of the material comes from machines, there is a track where all the sounds are field recordings registered in tallinn, estonia, which is a current home for ekke .

after numerous eps through the years, we are pleased to announce the debut lp from one of the cornerstone s of the l.i.e.s. label, terekke. we asked the man himself for some words regarding his album as to do it justice best. suffice to say we couldn t be more pleased this is happening as it stands as a truly special record for all of us. download card included

das album -israelites- erschien zuerst 1969. nachdem sich die single gleichen namens zum großen reggae-(welt-)hit entwickelte, veröffentlichten desmond dekker & the aces ein album, welches stücke musikalisch gleicher prägung zusammenfasst und auf der welle des erfolges der single surft. obwohl die lp sehr erfolgreich war und über die jahrzehnte in verschiedenen abwandlungen mit unterschiedlichsten covers und tracklistings veröffentlicht wurde, ist das original bis dato nicht wieder aufgelegt worden. somit ist diese neue vinyl-edition erst die zweite vinyl-auflage dieses albums, auf 180g heavyweight vinyl und von den original-analog-masterbändern neu gemastert. erstaunlich ist, dass desmond dekker seinen musikalischen erfolg über drei jahrzehnte aufrecht erhalten hat und mit so unterschiedlichen musikern wie robert palmer (dieser produzierte sein album -compass point-) und jimmy cliff zusammenarbeitete. desmond dekker verstarb 2006 und gilt bis heute als einer der wichtigsten vertreter des ska und reggae.

die energiegeladene mixtur der produktionen und mixsets chris bekkers aus techno, trance und progressive machte sich prompt bei paul van dyk bemerkbar, der mit dem talentierten wahlberliner für diverse singles kollaborierte (u.a. auf diesem album), ihn als tour-support beauftragte und nun auf vandit sein debütalbum veröffentlicht. dieses ist ein unterhaltsamer, audio-visueller trip durch chris wahlheimat berlin, europas derzeitigen hotspot für musik, kultur, nachtleben und alternativen lifestyle, bei dem dieser das berliner feeling glänzend in musik und videos transformiert. neben seiner dj-residenz im kitkat und gmf legt chris regelmäßig auf der kölner greenkomm, der brüsseler la demence und diversen europäischen csd-veranstaltungen auf, und er ist offizieller soundarchitekt für den deutschen stardesigner guido maria kretschmer sowie für marken wie mercedes benz, airberlin und die nhow design-hotels.
