ossian’s debut solo ep comes out on south london analogue material (s.l.a.m), the label he created with ansome 3 years ago. after a previous joint release on s.l.a.m and a remix on perc trax, we get to see original tracks from ossian for the first time.

hot creations is home to some of the industrys most valuable players. next year, darius syrossian will make a welcome return to the label with his heavy hitting two-parter, moxy, following on from 2013s whos the douche? ep. kicking off proceedings is moxy. six minutes of pure, raw, industrial bass littered with a smattering of high-hats and a break down that will leave you begging for more. the flip side serves up more peak-time goodness with hi, its me. a driving, throbbing bassline thumps over wobbling synths with a female vocal stating that she does not do vip clubs or bottle service bullshit! darius syrossian has made quite the mark on the industry. he began releasing music in 2009 and his proceeding career has seen him release a slew of dancefloor hits on labels such as viva music, 20/20 vision and get physical music, as well as collaborations with steve lawler, josh butler and sidney charles. hes also held down residencies at some of the world’s most influential clubs and has become an essential part of the ibizan summer seasons.

two years since their debut release together, ansome & ossian combine again, this time on their own label. “butch” and “buck” go in very hard as does the remix from ayarcana with pdl doing a proper job on “buck” turning it into a dance floor creeper.

after being a massive anthem in the summer for the do not sleep party in ibiza, this track finally gets released! richy ahmed first played this at music on amnesia back in june after being given a copy by darius syrossian & after a video appeared on youtube of darius syrossian playing it at hideout festival the same month, people have been demanding the release date for this ever since. people have been asking darius syrossian for months on social media when will this be released? ....

both the dub version and the listen up vox mix of give you some rest on the a-side. opening with percussion, the impending rhythmic baseline quickly grabs our attention. darius throws us some vocal sampling in the vox mix, creating an outstanding raw and iconic house vibe. flipping it over, we find drop your gimmicks on the b-side. this one is a bit more serious and bit less bouncy. with a deeper bass line that tells you what time it is, and the percussion to keep your feet shuffling, the track is, as darius put s it true house music .

seeking for peace was triggered after darius got home from a great gig and while chilling at home saw the news on tv. horrific footage of the onslaught in the middle east and the suffering of the innocent families caught up in the bombing made him realise that when he had been living it up, others were living in fear.
bass not bombs is the inspiration for the other 3 remixes. the proceeds from his two tracks will be given to the international red crescent.

incl. rmxs by hugo & dragosh !! over the past few years the pair have been building a reputation on the leeds club circuit for their dj skills. their first forays in the studio saw them produce the single tongue , which once picked up on by lawler, went on to be a regular in his sets and a catalyst in his decision to get the guys aboard the good ship viva. their take on the jack ep, cemented that decision and the label head now gives them the chance to truly present themselves to the world with this debut release. opening track osasuna see s the duo create a wonderful percussive track. built around a deep sax melody that will have the floor grooving. superb drum programming, with lashings of bongo work, make this a perfect opener to the e.p. and one that will easily make its mark in the current, refreshing, house sound... who better to remix osasuna than lawler s most recently unearthed diamond, romanian dragosh. ..
