label owner fracture, fresh from landmark release ‘loving touch’ on exit records, and sam binga, of ‘ayo’ and ‘lef dem’ fame, team up to present fdgd, three alternative takes on minimal sub-led dancehall at the higher end of the tempo range. all three riddims are vocalled by rider shafique, a key member of bristol’s young echo collective, who deviates from his trademark conscious lyrical content, choosing instead to roll out some of that dutty slackness in the finest traditions of yellowman and shabba ranks.
