having established itself with eps from duke slammer and dmx krew, dublin’s modern magic welcomes bari’s armonics for the label’s third release. a trained pianist and resident dj/curator of the we talk event series in his home city, armonics draws influence from electronic music across the past 40 years: chicago & acid house, italo- & electro-disco, new wave, synth-pop and vaporwave.
his italowave style is a fusion of these retro-futuristic and cosmic styles, forged through armonic’s production processes which include cassette recordings, vintage synths & modern korg/roland gear. the look alive ep is the producer’s second release, following a debut on slow motion in late 2016.
accompanying the ep’s three original tracks is an anthemic, piano-led remix of red eye by international feel act black spuma, aka lauer (tuff city kids/arto mwambe) and fabrizio mammarella (telespazio).

another debut producer joins the ranks of slow motion with a distinctive take on some classic sounds. armonics hails from bari, deep in the italian south and his first ep is at turns blissful, jacking and dare we say, playful. for a first ep, armonics has certainly nailed his musical colours to the mast. crossing with ease between disco, balearic and an indefinable x-factor.

highly limited 10- dubplate with custom sleeve. -with a raft of excellent music already accumulated, we move on to the penultimate release in our project mohawk series, with our 8th instalment only adding to the quality that has gone before. odd harmonics may be a new name to some, but being one quarter of the highly regarded g.h.o.s.t outfit should set the scene on what sort of ep you can expect. with the full crew on board for the retro virus-esque roller that is orbiter, and our own label boss tony consort on collab duties for edgy & minimalistic middle ground, this release retains the funk and old skool production values that so many still crave in the drum & bass scene today. with a selection of tracks that fully hit the mark, yet each offering something a little different, odd harmonics lays down a marker as solo producer of note in his own right-

after emerging on the scene in 2013 following a string of impressive vinyl cuts by roy green, protone, cutworks and others moscow based drum & bass imprint occulti music returns with another strong release. founded by impish the label has been a steady force pushing forward quality music from artists all over the globe.
the a side effort sees the prolific random movement on remix duties spicing up malaky, satl and skeletones lush sounding *future blues*. signature rm sounds right here with a larger then large second drop that gives the track a similar deepness but groaner feeling then the original. on the flip we continue with a track called *girl*. here we find blendits audio head honcho chris harmonics teaming up with occulti music boss man impish for his debut release. it is a modest but weighty stepper with soulful and techy influences though definitely aimed towards the dancefloor.
as with all occulti music releases the artwork was hand painted by russian artist anna tikhomirova.

canada s bombay imprint with a mesmerizing new outing from the montreal-based singer songwrtier harmonics. this four-tracker is heavy on the deep and trippy side, an essential release for the late nights and side room sets. a-side kicks offwith two mixes from sean dimitrie and nav bhinder, a spliffed-out midtempo percussive radio mix and a deep and dubby club mix. on the flip rise ashen and trevor walker both turn inmixes, each on the driving percussion tip with some nice layers of samples and sounds, and even a touch of brazil in there. tasteful, groovy goods

giorgio records brings a 1983 italo-disco classic back, with additional remixes from kid machine and armonics.
