moscow based multi-talent impish has been steadily honing his skills working through labels such as program, c.i.a. and his own fast rising occulti music imprint. it’s that last label that saw him release the critically acclaimed “silence” lp back in 2016. fast forward to the autumn of 2017 and a new album project the “hush” lp is set for release through all quality physical electronic music outlets around the world. being the perfectionist that he is, impish continues to impress working on crystal clear music productions where impeccable drum work is combined with organic touches and progressions.
the second “hush” lp sampler features three cuts of the album. first up the well respected irish drum & bass producer zero t takes up remix duties for “solid”, turning the stripped back original stepper into a wavey hard hitter with the remixer’s sound plastered all over. continuing with “let me” featuring uk based vocalist kate wild things heat up quickly where soaring bass sounds complimented by soulful vocals and tech-like stabs make for an intense drum & bass experience. last but not least we find the original mix for “solid” featuring fellow moscow based vocalist julia marks. it’s an easy listening, thoughtful piece of drum & bass with driving beats for the dance floor but harmonies for the mind and soul.

look out for the sampler dropping on 12” vinyl near the end of june. the full album will be released late september on 3x12” vinyl and all digital formats.

after emerging on the scene in 2013 following a string of impressive vinyl cuts by roy green, protone, cutworks and others moscow based drum & bass imprint occulti music returns with another strong release. founded by impish the label has been a steady force pushing forward quality music from artists all over the globe.
the a side effort sees the prolific random movement on remix duties spicing up malaky, satl and skeletones lush sounding *future blues*. signature rm sounds right here with a larger then large second drop that gives the track a similar deepness but groaner feeling then the original. on the flip we continue with a track called *girl*. here we find blendits audio head honcho chris harmonics teaming up with occulti music boss man impish for his debut release. it is a modest but weighty stepper with soulful and techy influences though definitely aimed towards the dancefloor.
as with all occulti music releases the artwork was hand painted by russian artist anna tikhomirova.

for the 77th vinyl installment by fokuz recordings we find grandmaster calibre reworking *with you* by moscow based impish that was released back in 2014 as part of the 15 yearz of fokuz compilation cd.
on the flip fizzy beats head honcho mr. joseph brings us *real talk* that is a modest, clean roller with atmospheric touches and delayed vocals.

on the flip we find an artist who has quickly establishing himself as a go-to guy for musical but danceable beats with plenty of soul, but a little bit of grit as well. impish comes correct once again with *so sick*.
