awry delivers its second record with midgar affiliate ruhig. the forward thinking release features 3 dazzling originals and a rattling remix by italian artist sciahri. a charged with electricity record juxtaposing evenly dark and hypnotic techno tracks.
awry is an electronic music label based in milan, run by wrong assessment. the label’s focus lies in the production of artists whose works are based on a common ground, made of deepness, hypnosis and minimalism.

after the recent collaborative library of babel ep alongside retina.it and prg/m as r2&#960,,, , ruhig is back on midgar with the 4tracker sleeping oracle ep, first instalment of a release trilogy. expect nice things!

materia ep is the second installment of ruhig s double ep, inaugurated with particles ep in january 2016. originally the records were supposed to be out in the same period, but due to problems with our ex-distribution, materia ep got postponed of few months. the release starts with the transcendent trento, respecting ruhig s tradition of broken beats idm deep techno leaning openers. consecutive cut the vector is a thumping mixtures of drones and heavyweight hihats designed with some attention for dancefloor. the slow-burner materia delivers some powerful mist-shrouded kicks on the b-side, that wraps up with sciame, a massive droning wave of electro wasps, which still keeps some classy chilled out elements somewhere in the background, behind the thunderous main drums. vinyl unfortunately left no space for the extra only digital track 1870, this last one is percussive retro-futuristic jam of psychedelic mouth arp and huge mallets drums. the track will be available for free download in the same period of the vinyl

ruhig comes back after one year with particles ep as first installment of a double ep on midgar. the record opens with particles, an atmospheric detroit influenced cut made out of synthlines dropping like voodoo spells, epic pads and fragmented beats. eddying follows up with a more direct approach to the dancefloor, 4/4 stomping beat and thin hi-hats backed by lasers and passionate ambiances. etere on the b-side gives the records an halfway breath, sounds like a late afternoon walk in the fields of a southern countryside village (with constructions going on somewhere nearby), before to start again with the sweet and eerie perle, where droney pinching drums are flooded by a swarm of dreamy fireflies. idiom to close the ep with a fast syncopated cut, showing the approach of ruhig to any form of musical expression and genre, far from traditional ambient or deep techno and going further, to reach out daring and more demanding levels.

ruhig (audiolouis from natch records) debuts on midgar with a deeply atmospheric ep. crumbled beats, gloomy synths and meticulously crafted basslines are the order of the day here, resulting in some incredible introspective techno! the midgar imprint continues to explore the themes found in its first release whilst evolving to embrace a warmer, heated sound.
