band leader, arranger and pianist pete rodriguez *i like it like that* is a well know, all time classic taken from the 1966 lp *i like it like that (a mi me gusta asi)*, also released on 7 inch in 1967, both on new york based alegre records, which was eventually sold to fania records. *i like it like that* bizarrely ended up being used by odeon cinemas in the uk as their pre-trailer branding track!
*subway joe* by joe bataan, a true latin soul classic, taken from the seminal album of the same name, released by fania in 1968. bataan was a very succesful pianist, singer and band leader born in new york.
