william thurman aka royer follows up two astounding releases for material image with a deep, curdling ep of wandering house for lobster theremin. picking up where his last excursions left off, collectively finds royer on typically dreamy form, taking micro-thought experiments and carving them into evolving, metamorphic journeys that capture as much the ambience of late night paris as the spirit of us house music. to even the balance, german newcomer trp fires up the cannons for a tough, bouncing remix on the b2. crackling and chugging with dust-coated drums and pads, this is a serious floor-banging rework right here. original artwork comes from royer himself, with full artwork matte sleeve, warm red centre labels and a mind-bending b&w a4 insert.

some low down, dirty cosmic boogie-funk here from 1977 on salsoul records. destroyers were a one off project from nyc whose back catalog includes only these 2 super rare and sublime examples of down-tempo space disco. both cuts are the perfect late night soundtrack to getting down in the darkest corners of the club, perfectly produced, super funky and with solid relentless grooves that go on and on.

a lot of musicians fall in love with their effect pedals, but ulrich troyer is probably the first one to describe the interior world of his stompboxes & delay pedals with a project that combines music, a graphic novel and hand drawn visuals for the live performance. songs for william 2 is the second part of an experimental dub trilogy that started in 2011 on malas deep medi label & continues 2013 on ulrich troyers own 4bit productions label. the project is the perfect intersection of the talents and interests of ulrich troyer: illustration, architecture, acoustic research, old school dub reggae and afrobeat.

the skokie intruder ep is the first ever release by the french / american producer royer. his productions reflect astounding sampling skills and a penchant for detroit style grit and groove. skokie intruder was mastered and cut by helmut erler at dubplates and mastering and will be a hand stamped red label in edition of 300. featured on the release is a remix by brian leeds (huerco s., royal crown of sweden) under a new alias: independence ave. orchestra.

after firstly appearing on dials 2010 compilation, kassian troyer shows up with an adventure into wonderful sounddesigned technomusic. these four pieces of deeply grooving structures might r be influenced of early works by jan jelineks farben project, the swing of stl and the deep rooms of pole. that is no coincidence at all. kassian troyer who studied sound engineering and production has been responsible for the live mixing of stefan bethke aka pole and lots of other artists like andrew peckler and pantha du prince. while working on the mixing of efdemins chicago album he became related to dial records- his first demo tracks were an ingenious discovery for dials eccentric family.
