the first studio barnhus compilation, studio barnhus volym 1, is coming out at the end of august.
the 19-track release will feature music from the stockholm label s three founders—axel boman, kornél kovács, petter nordkvist—plus various associates, ranging from local newcomers to superstar friends of the label like dj koze, john talabot and superpitcher.

venezuela born and barcelona based artist phran returns for his second ep on klasse wrecks. bringing back the fuzz he debuted with on wrecks002, the 3000 modes ep is a development of his signature style, expanding with more machine drum funk and distorted landscapes. four slices of varied but coherent styles and a dubbed out remix from samo + baba stiltz make for a must have purchase!

since we were apes the need for the dubb version has been as important as the beer we drink to stay alive. now the time has come for some of our favourite songs to to be dubbed up by some of our favourite knob fiddlers. this is the age of fun, where old dreams come to die - this is the age of the dubb!

raam is back with ep 2 where he delivers the massive hidden, a classic dub-driven techno banger. with its stabby synths and 4/4 rhythm its devastating on the dance floor. on the flip hidden gets a remix treatment from the talented baba stiltz (studio barnhus). baba buries the original into a deeper, sonic gritty journey. the ep ends with pallas which is a slow and raw house track with a moody atmosphere.

more nordic talents knocking on the door with some proper house! junk yard connections is the debut release of stocktown duo laguna ladies. aside of the original there are remixes by moomin and baba stiltz. moomin give us a flashback to the 90s bouncy yard, with sunshine and blunts when baba flipping the happy acid vibe up side down and goes into the techno wildness. great to see junk yard connection going so strong!
