galaxians golden armageddon on natural sciences pulls at the virus that is lodged deep within the collective consciousness of mankind. a record challenging our ideas of bounty and material wealth by placing the human race in the palms of blood-sucking cultural institutions. institutions such as big pharma, religious mega-structures, consumer trends and tax schemes which have worked to reduce human behaviour to fetishised objects and de- humanised masses. it s a record that pulls away the shackles, asking for a new trail of thought through de-programming. electro pulses for enlightenment. get woke.

glasgow based producer, galaxian, is set to drop the 11th release of helena hauff s return to disorder imprint. paradise engineering is an ambitiously psychedelic piece of machine mastery that will be right at home on hauffs label, with which she set out to bring punk rock and techno together in 2015. the label s name refers to the reactionary post-ww1 art movement, return to order, which called for a rejection of the avant-garde in favor of conservatism and classicism. return to disorder has embraced experimentation and genre bending with releases from the likes of children of leir, morah and umwelt. galaxian s proximity to the sharp edge of quantum chaos and belief in the anarchism of nature make him a fitting addition to the hamburg based label.

brooklyn’s dither down records presents galaxians debut long player let the rhythm in, available now on limited edition double gatefold heavyweight vinyl and download. firmly rooted in the club culture and dance lineage of their hometown leeds, ltri s eight tracks bristle and pulse with the same energy that the band s live performances have become well know for. the album s soulful, muscular sound resonates with a raw playfulness, and with the addition of singer emma mason in 2016 the band have forged a path to a sound steeped in the tradition of new york disco and boogie heavyweights such as inner life, gwen guthrie, and producer/writer leroy burgess.

scotland s premier electro alchemist is back on shipwrec and this time flying solo with five shards of sharpened machine music. beats rain down in solid sheets, a hail of drum patterns pelt and pound. acid scorn, speeding snares and scorched sound roar and rumble in the menacing -days of rage.- the 12- hisses and howls, sending forth a searing line of percussion as gears crank and grown. -glasgow to detroit- is just as fiery, scorn and sparks leaping off burning bars. aggression is always at the surface, and behind the razor rhythms lurks a palpable paranoia, as in -daisy cutter- or -uprising.- the only respite comes with the complex and textured -stones and sticks.- harsh mechanics from an industrial heartland.
