for our next release we welcome back two of hamburg’s finest and most recent international exports: adana twins. last seen on our latest various artists compilation, the duo returns with three absolutely stunning tracks of low slung, infectious cuts blurring the lines between house and techno with an undeniable brush stroke of character the two are quickly becoming synonymous for. ‘flower of cane’ kicks things off in an almost sinister fashion with massive low end bursts and a fever inducing, single note that never stops rising culminating in a climactic crescendo of dance floor euphoria while ‘ortus’ takes a much more ‘up-beat’ approach with dreamy arpeggios and shimmering atmospherics laid over a pulsing bassline resulting in a gorgeous number ideal for a number of memorable moments. wrapping up the originals is the guaranteed summer anthem: ‘relentless fest. jeppe kjellberg’ where sultry vocals and lush aural artifacts launch sensations to uncharted new heights. not done yet, we asked none other than the brilliant andre lodemann to create his revision of ‘relentless feat. jeep kjellberg’ and he, as always, delivered big time. with not only one but two solid reworks of the original lodemann’s remixes need no description other than there is a vocal and a dub version to satisfy any dj’s sensibility. we hope you enjoy.

2014 was a definitely a huge year for dance music, with many up and coming artists being thrown into the lifestyle of hectic partying and relentless touring schedules. this also means that those who exploded onto the scene prior are no longer the new kids on the block. a few years is a long time in the life of a dj, and the first few years are often the maddest. the adana twins are a perfect example of one of these artists, having emerged onto the scene in 2012 with releases such as everyday and strange , from the off it was clear that they had everybody s undivided attention. (pulse radio) with dj names like take it easy and friso, it s probably to be presumed that german duo adana twins don t take themselves too seriously. that tongue in cheek attitude could be heard on their first productions and remixes. it s now almost almost three years later and the twins music vision is constantly developing

2 years ago their hit *strange* plunged the deep house faithfuls into the limelight, gaining them support from across the boarder. adana twins were being praised by djs of all genres and receiving standing ovations in clubs. this resulted in a bunch of new remixes, massive press attention and a busy tour schedule all over the world, with an australia, america and brasil tour. aside from their hectic worldwide touring schedule, the duo remixed *schwarz dont crack* on kitsune. in march 2014, this entertaining duo will be releasing the fresh new single drive featuring khan (ex-captain comatose/playhouse/i m single) on exploited.

shir khan presents his favourite edits in the form of a new sublabel of exploited entitled: black jukebox. the first edition features a great mix of deep house, disco, soul and hip hop. contributions by amsterdams homework and hamburgs adana twins. 4 infectiously catchy tracks that can be either explained as >true revision< or >the stick a kick drum on it!< philopsophy. already loved by the round table knights, soul clap, dj sneak, jesse rose, catzndogs, wareika, dj t, jazzanova, christian prommer&michael reinboth, nd baumecker and many more. homework and the adana twins took 4 classic tracks and turned them into something that is so lush that maybe even larry levan might have played it out. 90s sentiments were rearranged to be retrofitted in this era: pure revisionist nostalgia.

infotext hamburg citys adana twins have made short work between their time joining the watergate camp to jumping into the spotlight helming the latest watergate mix compilation. the duo step up to deliver a thrilling and complex trek into the dramatic, emotionally-charged fields with their distinct brand of techno making it abundantly clear the two have a voice that needs to be heard. over the course of sixteen tracks adana twins weave a vivid musical tale having acquired an assortment of exclusive unreleased material from their crew of likeminded and extremely talented friends like acid pauli, sbth, upercent, lehar, daniel bortz & sascha sibler, aaaron, andrŽ hommen, and musumeci among others. besides their friends, adana twins contribute three originals to the mix including an absolute monster remix of patrice bŠumels decade old track Ôroar which has already received huge praise and tons of plays from heavyweights like tale of us and solomun receiving massive reactions every time its played. not only is the mix a stellar display of the duos mixing and storytelling prowess, but all tracks from the mix, minus adana twins Ôpavan which will see its release on their own imprint tau, are exclusive to watergate and will be released as separate eps following the mix release.
