i found even darker and stunned by the scare,

oblique is proud to present it’s second various artists ep by friends we have met years ago online. before we had our first releases, we would upload our music to soundcloud and these guys were always on my radar to check instantly. besides inspiring me, their comments and feedback were invaluable to my growth as a producer. fast-forward a few years and everyone has grown in their own way, with multiple releases, labels and parties to emerge. the platforms have changed, but the connection did not, hence the idea to reunite them on wax :)

mental modern is a underground music label created to explore all the nuances of modern techno music, from deeper sounds to the darker and industrial ones. focused on signing new artists with big artists from the techno scene, to provide quality music.

ogun records returns for it’s second installment done by the incredibely talented alan backdrop. this northern italian has already gained a lot of appreciation amongst techno enthousiasts for his ep’s on enklav/motoguzzi records and his digitally released albums on prologue and ekar show his range of productions even more. with this release on ogun records he sticks to the label’s creed: an ep with a lot of value for dj’s, but still with intricate production techniques and enough warm layered textures/soundscapes to please even the most esoteric minds.

alan backdrops first ep on enklav014. the third physical release for the italian label with salko. buried vaguely melodic ambiance grows and expands in the most surpising fashions within rigid structures.

the second part of alan backdrops excursion-series comes with two extended and very personal tracks. with this two musical journeys, inspired by early 90s robert hood techno, crispy rhythm&sound elements and refreshed with inspiring ambient sounds and broken dubstep beats, he goes ahead building up his own musical signature. pure rhythmic soul confessions!

alan backdrop is a project started by alessio meneghello, a young artist born and raised in the north of italy.
fascinated by electronic music and since always inspired by nature and surrealism, his mind often combines these two factors imagining both, real and immaginary surrealistc places, always with a strong presence of water.
as producer & dj he concentrates in the realization of atmospheric musical journeys which are highlighted by his solid and exceptional production talent.

sense001 showcases an indisputable attention in sewing hypnotic and atmospheric textures, offering a conscious and introspective experience for dancefloors.

harmony rec. is celebrating its eighth birthday with a double ep compilation involving all the artists of the label. pressed on green marbled vinyl.

subosc is back with organic elements. we present four rhythmically effective tracks with an underlying theme: rarefaction, dense textures and evocative atmospheres inducing a spectrum of sensations like melancholy, introspection, mind wandering and encouraging the search for the self.
we thought long about this selection, until we reached what we wanted: a collection of timeless and immersive landscapes, modeled by alan backdrop (prologue), artefakt (delsin), ben gibson (axis) and tripsolate & redundaent (nowhere).
the artwork, curated by hillary flanders, is inspired by the nietzsche’s idea of -the overman- (ubermensch), which is one of the most significant concept in his thinking: an overman should be able to affect history indefinitely, keeping on reentering the world through other people’s minds and affect their thoughts and values.
the release aims to be a must have for the lovers of techno music characterized by refined aesthetics and analog warmth, ideal to give added value to autumn moments.
