whiskey disco #22 features the second ep from b.g. baarregaard, a wonderful producer currently residing in oslo, but who is never too far from the blue lagoons of his home in iceland. b.g. has produced three sublime songs. the sound is an acid freak out of love de-luxe. it grabs and loops, hooks and tugs at your ears, then feet until you, you know. on the flip, the return both promises and delivers a mark morrison had he stayed in miami rather than returning to england. b.g. uses the third song to showcase his own song and instrumental skill in the desire. there is a magic in the air, that keeps us dancing.

summer of my life joins newcomer and alumnus, closed paradise and b.g. baarregaard. the title is a cheeky reference that sidesteps youthful sentiment with a nod towards middle age. b.g. establishes the mood with his impeccable balance of sample and synthesis with the loopy, upbeat astarjatning and the carefree, balearic astargardurinn. closed paradise produces original disco with sheer panache weaving sample and groove with slight melancholic tones across breakin down and wolf sisters. whiskey disco #40 exemplifies our roots and future, a constant evolution of modern disco and vintage edits.
