dave hargadon is a dublin based producer/dj who has been a heavy vinyl collector from a young age, after his teenage years dave began collecting and growing an array of old and new hardware to begin creating his own musical ideas. better known as being one half of the production outfit slowburn, this record sees his first solo release. influenced by the house sounds from chicago, detroit and via the hague, expect strong melodies and heavy drums - hope you enjoy this first offering.

dublin based duo, dave hargadon & phil long aka slowburn make their debut on lunar disko records with four machine-driven house and techno jams. fusing the percussive sounds of chicago & detroit with their trademark analogue soundscapes, slowburn once again push deeper into the realms of house and techno with their third full ep, crafted somewhere between the black pitts and contae sligeach. slow-rising cuts demonstrating precision drum programming, delicate chords and pads, alongside some acute arrangement, make for another outstanding ep from two fast-rising irish producers. lotus, is it?

for the fourth ep on austere, irelands slowburn are welcomed into the fold. having impressed us with releases on uzuri and elektrosouls this ep will not disappoint fans of the label to kick things off we have the the hustle which sounds like something that prescription forgot to release back in the day! next up is broken document which delivers lovely warm analogue chords and pads interlaced with an 808 groove. the b-side starts off with do it using various samples to great effect to culminate in a unique deep house sound. finishing things off in much the same territory is from another angle which again brings the warm chords and pads, but also brings to the table some really delicate synth lines to create a surreal effect.

slowburn are two guys from dublin who recently made there debut via uzuri in the form of a various artists 12 inch. here they return for a full four track ep release of there own on elektrosouls. four raw deep house cuts that ooze melody and soul. >magnolia< kicks things off with deep square bass and shuffled snares that give way to detuned pads while teasing synths bubble away below. >letter live & liberty< the second track, an 808 rythim joined buy a haunting lead that builds into deep melodic pads. on the flip comes >bladerunning< based around deep pads and more 808 beats with cool synth stabs this track is for dark rooms. the record wraps things up with >medicusa< a very soulful track full of quirky melodies that build and build over nicely crafted drum patterns.
