this mushroom house ep is the first release in a series of ep’s that will feature this new weirdo house sound that is influenced by ethno, afro, psychedelic music. on this first 4 track ep you get new music from alien alien aka italian producers rodion & hugo sanchez with a detroit techno kind of track with mushroomey space voices that drive a dancefloor crazy. (alien alien previously released on turbo, nein, slow motion, gomma). then australian surfer kid and house producer jad & the ladyboy doing a afro heavy old school mpc house jam. (jad released also records on exploited and toy tonics). gomma boss munk is featured with his surf smurf - collaboration with rebolledo (pachanga boys). as a bonus track you get the legendary dj koze remix of whomadewhos keep me in my plane. released some years ago, three times repressed and sold out. sounding now fresher then ever. the mushroom house series features mostly new tracks, produced exclusively for toy tonics.

parisian label meant turns to hugo sanchez and rodion in their alien alien guise, a little known side project that has released on their own label roccodisco and that has also featured on get physical back in 2012. the two originals from alien alien come with remixes by rodion in solo mode, plus red axes.

release number four from our latin lair, and this time we are very excited to introduce a mystery project - alien alien with two tracks, black guru and sambaca. alien alien is the shadowy side project of hugo sanchez and rodion who have distilled for us two stone cold cuts of percussive, rolling disco for the dance-floor, backed up with remixes from horse meat discos severino and the heels of love.

behind the next release on meant records are italian duo boot & tax, a relatively new pairing made up of claudio brioschi and cristiancroce. here they serve up three great originals baced with a stellar remix from alien alien. before now, boot & tax have released two extremely well received eps on jd twitchs optimo trax and have also recently had their music licensed to erol alkans fabric live 77, so the pair are really on the up.

we are honoured to present the milan-based duo carol consisting of damian and fedex. fedex has been collecting records and dj-ing since the age of 15 when the italian club and rave scene was about to explode. after many years of dj-ing and producing music in italy and germany he found his home in milan by joining the cockette party crew where he expressed his musical versatility and love for dancefloor shaking. damian started out in londons late 90s electroclash scene with the cult electro band damian and the puzzy france and later on approached techno and house as a promoter and dj.
