almost a year on from his well-received crazy ep on moon harbour, philip bader is back with his third outing on the label. this time he offers up edge of space, which features three new tracks that prove the producer of ten years experience is still somehow improving with every release.
saveds latest offering comes from label favourite philip bader who delivers his original and creative sounds with getting lost. built upon flowing percussion and filled with an addictive baseline and intelligently processed vocals, the record is a real hit and accessible to djs across the spectrum. over on the flip is a remix of 2011s, amir loves you. the track receives the remix treatment from label boss nic fanciulli and his friend davide squillace. the remix has been bubbling under for a while now since featuring on nics balance compilation and is now available for all
for more than 10 years, philip bader has been mixing it up in the berlin electronic muisic scene as a producer, dj and label founder – no wonder then that his first studio album, wishful thinking,to be released on berlin label highgrade records, is such an eagerly awaited piece of work.philip, a native of the capital city, has taken a year to complete this debut long player that seemlessly juggles a wide range of musical styles.
philip bader, sascha braemer and nicone have been assembled in the studio and there it was: the new dantze. two wonderfully groovy tracks, perfect for the late summer, open airs and freak out moments on the dancefloor. dantze boy is a deep, hypnotic track with crazy cool rolling beats, vocal fragments and a driving synth. dantze girl will inspire the girls. guitars, vocals, love - everything that goes with it. typical bader, braemer, nicone. peace.
the ep opens with >hypnotic bass<, a track with a very groovy gnaoua rythm. the sound of the guembri gives the production a very warm sensation. next up is >deep medina<, the title track. a real journey, the vocals are strong while sidi mohammeds lute elicits shivers. the melody manages to sound traditional while modern at the same time. >for hou!!!<, the closing track, philip bader perfectly works the acoustic samples, resulting in a characteristically berlin minimal sound. the kick and the bass are very heavy.
wonderland ghost is, not only due to its title, a gift for all friends of electronic dance music. the three tracks: >for you<, >the ghost<, and >what im standing for feat. toxic pearl< all exude the pleasure of working with the original beats and rhythms that rattle through baders music. these are elegantly arranged sound montages that relentlessly push into the ears of an enraptured dance floor, taking surprising twists and turns on their way to a land of pure musical fun
the boys are teaming up again! the name is lonely, but you are not lonely at all. niconé and philip bader are setting up two mad tracks for your sprawl over the dance floors in the cities and over the countryside. knowing how to use the sharp blades of selected beats and emotions, they just wanna get on top of you. so get ready for a bright summer with wandering open airs and screaming hands in the air. spoony talker give you the right mood and put their mad soulful vocals into lonely, filling the last available free space between techhouse-beats and piano-hooklines. together with mama simba you should be prepared for a wild ride through hot funky peaktimes near chilly lakes and rivers. back in the club animal trainers remix is pulling you into the flickering lights. time to feel too good to be true, cause you wont survive the summer without these tracks...
db049 is by two of the best new school groove specialists in the game, sascha braemer and philip bader. this is saschas third appearance on dirtybird and phillips first but the two have been friends for many years. both guys have their own amazing labels now (sascha runs supdub and philip runs dantze) so we are very happy to be able to still get a cool record from them on dirtybird. we will leave the title of this >friends and honey ep< up to your imagination but both trax are money in the bank. i welcome our friends from berlin to the san francisco family an we hope to see these two over here in the usa soon on tour.
philip bader returns to saved with a killer new single called >summer big beat<. the track has been causing dancefloor damage this summer, being played by dc10s davide squillace and radio 1s pete tong. the track now gets a full release and to complete it, label boss nic fanciulli delivers a remix.
germanys bader & niconé with the next saved release. having a remix for saved already under his belt for andrea olivas >rainers<, philip returns with a release collaborated with fellow berliner nicone entitled >we love it<.
kindisch is now eighteen releases old, and its mission - to uncover new talent, and to provide a platform for producers to evolve and experiment - is more passionate than ever. this time, the reins are handed to sascha braemer, aka hirtenfellner, and philip bader, who build on the promise of their releases on sup dub and get physical. >mamba drums< is, as its name suggests, a percussive, latin-tinged affair, with sweeping builds and heavy drops, layer upon layer of locomotive percussion and a skeletal four-note vamp designed to whip the listener into a state of frenzy (and sure to be successful in this aim!). a male vocal sample pervades on >thrill<, this time more gruff, more laconic, and edited so that the words become another percussive element rather than carriers of meaning. deep whirlpools of delay open up below a surface drift of jazz-tinged chords, from a minimalist sound palette bader and braemer paint a vastly evocative, effusive picture that will transport the listener, or dancefloor, to a strange and addictive place. >put your arms around me<, implores the soul-infused vocal sample on b >around<, over a yawning vista of synth chords bridged with sibiliant snares and subtle but earth-moving edits that leave no doubt as to braemer and baders mastery of dancefloor dynamics.
phoonky minimal techno !! behind the 18th release are 3 locals from berlin. philip bader joins forces with heinrichs & hirtenfellner to rock your socks off. just like they do in every weekend back to back with a dj calendar busy as fuck. off course they are producers well renowned in their own right and this ep is a good example why

french kitchen is a label of electronic music and intelligent sounds recipes based in paris. it was born in 2012 by the chiefs hands of the music duo sucre sale and their cocobeach partys friends. how to cook - a fashionable sweet and salty techno recipe: take a good soft kick and simmer in a light reverb effect. melt a good motivating base and add it to the mixture. add the nappees, a few vocals freshly recorded and two returns. cover in breadcrumbs and let it cook as long as a rakia. taste!
after a great compilation (fk0001), this first ep is prepared us by chiefs like nicone & philip bader, marcelo cura, andri and homes duo sucre sale!

supported by luciano, timo maas, pig & dan, anthony collins, woody, dustin zahn. rifraf is rafael gimelstein, recently relocated from sydney to berlin, born in lithuania, raised in israel, flowered in sydney. classically trained violinist, deep as fu*k party organiser and creator of sydneys earthdance festival, rifraf is now full time producer making his distinctive sound in electronic music world. philosophy started as a casual recording of his granny klara telling stories about her time in a concentration camp in germany, and singing the yiddish song tumbalalaika and ended as a very intelligent moving sound collage. the whole peace is a trip, which feeds you constantly with changing noises and visions. although philosophy is transferring a lot of aural information, it is never telling to much and still works perfectly on the dance floor. its just an intoxicating musical tale which drives you on a wild journey. with the both remixes, one of alexkid with his deep as fu*k remix and phillip baders off runner the release get its pretentious dance floor alternatives. fifteen seconds close this fine ep, which rafael did in coop with the young israeli producer omer from tel aviv.
