who is dj fett birger?? it’s dj fett burger, stupid. geography records straight outta malmö, sverige has awoken. please make room in your record collection for more stupid stuff from sweden’s third biggest city, home of great falafel and bad clubs. our fat friend from moss, norge takes some parts from shakarchi & stranéus eternal 2013 hit single ”either way” (geo 005) and turns it into a dreamy cheese-pop track ready for full, half-full and really empty dance floors. on the flip side the burg’ teams up with underground finnish talent stiletti ana for a literal take on the snl quote ”more cowbell”. please play it loud. for the third side of this single record release, burga’ fett flangs it out with a us style bonus beats, strictly for the djs! with this, you can play our record with an even nicer record on top! also perfect for shout outs, birthday wishes during sets or when you’re just really tired of melody and bass. all in all, a solid three track release to make it up to you that we forgot to release a record in like 1.5 years. sorry about that. geo 008 is already done, so don’t worry it wont be long until the next one! regards, adam & oscar

since we were apes the need for the dubb version has been as important as the beer we drink to stay alive. now the time has come for some of our favourite songs to to be dubbed up by some of our favourite knob fiddlers. this is the age of fun, where old dreams come to die - this is the age of the dubb!

shakarchi & straneus are faik and daniel, two bffs from gothenburg who are making some of the most catchy, emotional and well crafted dance music we have heard in a long time. both had been involved in music for a while when they started working together at their hometowns top tapas joint, manana. in between washing dishes and serving patatas bravas, the boys would burst out short tracks and sound experiments in the makeshift studio they had set up inside mananas cloakroom. this led to a debut 12 inch on malmo based geography recordings and now comes their five track ep >dodskallar och korallrev<: studio barnhus second release, the best swedish house record since jesper dahlbacks >what is the time mr. templar?<, something we are immensely proud of being able to release.

geography records is a new vinyl only label based in malmö sweden that focuses on the deeper sides of electronic music. the tagline for the label is mapping deep sounds of the world.
the first release is done by shakarchi & stranéus, two very talented guys from gothenburg, sweden.

shakarchi & stranŽus inhabit a secret place in the universe of music, one existing at the intersection of scandinavian poplands, hisingen forest raves and outernational placelessness. faik shakarchi and daniel stranŽus famously started making beats together in the gothenburg tapas-joint coat check where they both worked as clerks. their now 10 years old friendship is the story of legends, their sparse vinyl output the secret love of deep house 12 enthusiasts round the globe the warm, vibrant sounds found on those records a stark contrast to the stripped-down effectiveness of their marathon dj sets, frequently heard within the more nefarious examples of gbg nightlife.

just in time for the summer peak comes an ep by swedish producer, hnny. the lead song is a sentimental, romantic serenade, decked out with lush vocal samples, fortified by a simple, bouncy bass and jazzy drums.... 2016 repress
