a massive collection of bossa nova gems from the 60s - all hand-picked by nicola conte with as much care for sound as his own contemporary work on the schema label! the tracks here are pulled mostly from the rge labels landmark 60s albums in brazil - albums that are awash in jazzy grooves, blue-tinged vocals, and some of the darker corners that always make older bossa albums worth searching out! some of the titles here are familiar from single reissues, but there is a lot more here that arent - and the music is put together with a sense if space, sound, and timing that is clearly the result of contes careful input on the release.
