here we are with the last chapter of kruse & nuernbergs excellent debut album *lets call it a day*. released last fall on lazy days, the album was cherished by the press and topped the digital sales charts of various genres from deep house to nu disco and chill out. remixers so far came in from such great talents as spirit catcher, shur-i-kan and nathan g, this time it is up to mario basanov, wolf + lamb and fred everything.

this is the last teaser before the release of the kruse & nuernberg album >lets call it a day<, featuring, yet again, the beautiful vocals of stee downes. on remix duties, we have lazy days regular shur-i-kan with two completely different flavors. his 80s vocal mix is a beautiful update of the original, speeding up the tempo for peak time play, while his 90s dub is a straight up stripped down classic house re-work. first time on the label, we welcome nathan g with another fine remix that can be played at just about any time of the night. lastly, we have the original in all its beauty, at its slower original tempo.

matthias meyer - levant: father of >tout va bien< and >infinity< brings his latest deep-charge to the table with >levant<. playful, filtering drums and percussive fills work a complex groove into the foreground while a gently growing melodic theme builds. its a real summertime beauty that once again firmly plants meyer on the map. ebbing and flowing like the fresh breeze, dont be surprised to hear this one at many an open air this season!

with its intriguing melodies, strings and piano orchestration, >silk city< has got modern classic written all over it. nathalie is a jazz singer and the tone of her voice reminds of telepopmusiks >love can damage your health<. fred everything once again steps up to the remixes with a straight forward modern house production and a dub that brings back early influences of mauritzio and mood 2 swing. hope you enjoy the release as much as we do.

german duo, florian kruse and nils nuernberg, have had a rather busy 2009, releasing and remixing on labels such as moodmusic, dark energy, global underground,

it was only a short time ago when these 2 young up and comers made their respective debuts on our label and in the few months between then and now, they have gone on to skyrocket up through the ranks, conquering dancefloors, charts and dj crates-while becoming household names synonymous with quality and consistency.
florian kruse and nils nürnberg need very little introduction these days but for those that have been asleep or living under a rock, a good start would be to check their recent output on fine labels such as nrk, om, moodmusic, dessous and our very own dieb, to name a very select few. their first combined effort on the label has resulted in the >suerte ep<, a tight collection of deep as hell, tech infused house numbers heavily characterized by their attention to groove and addictive, seductive chord progressions that have become a hallmark of their production prowess.
to add some spice to an already sterling and stylized package, we have enlisted our good friend (and also mood music alumnus) alexander maier, to remix the titular >suerte< where he adds his considerable musical vocabulary to the proceedings, peppering a very tasty arrangement with piano chord stabs and throbbing basslines resulting in a gorgeous, summery house re-interpretation that has to be heard to be believed!
as if this werent enough, fresh from an impressive debut on nils and florians save room records we have been lucky enough to secure a percussion led, funk infused remix of >achieving balance< from bright new boys on the block io who round things off nicely and add another dimension to the >suerte ep<.

over the course of the past ten years, stil vor talent has striven to support emerging young artists, to continuously broaden and redefine its sound, and, ultimately, to create lasting memories, both on and off the dance floor. the dance floor is the place where we gather to leave the worries of our everyday lives behind, and, for those few moments, form a bond, which transcends the final track of the night. a bond between each other between the artist and the dancer, between ourselves and the music. on 10 years stil vor talent we celebrate this bond and say thank you.
the double vinyl lp comes in a gatefold sleeve and includes a download code for the full album plus bonus tracks (see below).

for its 13th release, sharivari presents nick nikolov, another talented and young producer (21 years old) from sofia, bulgaria. nick has already impressed on the german label liebe detail, as surrealism or under his own name. his new ep for the french imprint focuses on modern deep house music, full of deep pads, funky grooves, sci-fi textures and sometimes more abstract rhythms. pressed on marbled vinyl.

the third instalment of the stil vor talent berlin compilation series brings forth a new gang of carefully selected artists, gathered under the umbrella of another underground berlin hotspot. kottbusser tor is undoubtedly the beating heart of kreuzberg, unashamedly pulsating 24/7 with the good, the bad and the ugly. theres no place quite like it, thanks to its raw charme. as always, music is the common denominator and oliver koletzki delivers the perfect soundtrack with this new release, while chrisse kunst renders the visual.
