rsds last years anthem dancehall rock received a heavy remix treatment from some of the most interesting producers in dubstep and jungle music scenes – hungarian dubstep don dj madd and russian jungle warrior hot. both artists were featured on the finest releases from moonshine recordings catalogue in the past. dj madd transformed the original track into a heavy dread stepper while hot used rickys vocal to create a pure ragga-jungle niceness.

moonshine recordings is happy to present two new heavy tunes from the mighty rsd. rsd, perhaps better known as bristol bass and drum music stalwart rob smith (one half of respected production duo smith and mighty), has been pushing bass heavy rhythms for more than two decades. under the moniker rsd, he produces fresh, innovative bass music that simultaneously pays dues to his deep soundsystem roots while pushing things ever forward. main track on this 12&#8243,, is grimey >dancehall rock< that features vocals from ricky ranking, well known from his collaborations with the bug. it is currently receiving heavy worldwide dj support from the likes of dj madd, radikal guru, roommate, dreadsquad, bunzero, 6blocc among others. on the flip you can find >too much war<, a heavy bass riddim that reminds of rsds older productions.

punch drunk are on fire at the moment, having just released the rsd compilation album good energy (a singles compilation) which could be described as a best of, this is one prolifically great dubstep producer. these two tracks featured on the cd now grace a 2 track 12inch vinyl release.
