in perfect timing for the 10th bpitch control birthday, thomas muller presents his third solo release. born in paris, the berlin-elect has been in the city for about 2 years. certainly his current location has left an indelible mark on thomas creations - his deep and highly detailed soundscapes were already evident in the last release, >seduction< - a clear idiom into an increasingly dark realm. his current work continues consitently and ambitiously in the same vein.

2008 saw thomass busiest, and most successful year to date. having caught the ear of bpitch control boss ellen allien, february saw him release >ride on< on the label. >seduction< followed in june and july saw him rework ellens superb >out<. 2009 looks set for more of the same, and has lunched in the finest fashion with his third bpitch control release, januarys >somewhere around tristram< alongside quartz label manager and artist okain. which, brings us to todays release >offone<. three intelligently crafted and dazzlingly effective techno cuts, >offone<, >arp< and >watch yourself<, make this a serious contender for best techno release of the year to date. dark at times, brutal at others, yet all featuring a constant spine of parisian funk.
