ltd nice price action !! >give it to me hot< is a 4-track ep that pays tribute to one of the hottest, raunchiest (but sadly short-lived) funk/punk groups from the early 80s, sexual harrassment.
sexual harrassment was started by radio dj lynn tolliver whilst he was working at mca records, and the cleveland-based group had a gold single on the heat/montage label. their rarer 6-track album from 1983 has become a collectors item. to do their tracks justice, we asked modern day artists who are synonymous with a sex-driven funk attitude to either cover or reinterpret the originals.

the seminal, and sadly, only album by sexual harrassment is a stunning collision of disco, new wave, electro, hip hop and funk, a true original!!! this record has undoubtedly been a major influence on the lcd soundsystem and indeed many of the other acts affiliated with dfa and beyond. originally released in 1983, it sounds as though it could have been released yesterday. from the sleazy electro-wave monotony of “i need a freak” to the playful and rather camp disco / gym workout “exercise your ass off” there is never a dull moment, a classic album.
