mysterious shadows, sensual formations and intransparent depths rewrite the fourth baud release of ryo murakami from tokyo. the a-side is launched by the title track >underworld<, which is evident in an appealing soundscape by classical and contemporary dub elements. also on the front side is the playful >night dew<. swirled iridescent synths attend to the atmospheric and unexplored morning dew. >closer< opens the b-side with a gentle, bubbling acidline that rounds off the background with jacking swinging moments. like an enchanted, dark veil >fog< appears on the back side, by building up strings into unsearchable depths

so inagawa first release compiled >deep house part 1- mixed by harley & muscle< compilation. japanese underground label >relaxine< will proudly announce deep tech house track >ride ep< that is second release coming from murakami(poker flat/dessous/morris audio)! ryos career started as dj, on the base of influence by the oldschool hiphop, house, techno, and rock. as soon as he was inspired by alternative sounds like analog synthesizer and old rhythm machines, he began to devote to produce electronic music. his sound contains experimental minimal and cutting edge house music. crosstown labelowner damian lazarus has picked him up and supported to releae ‘the lizard’ as the name of p.a.n on revelone which is sublabel of crosstown in 2006. ‘groove master’ daniel bell has played ‘the lizard’ in his mix cd and it has brought him deserved recognition as bona-fide new talent. steve bug, who runs poker flat and house line labe dessous, dropped ryo’s “my soul rise monument” to best album best kept secrets ” on dessous in 2007. he has became the first artist to be played 2 tracks on the fabric mix cd series steve bug mixes fabric 37 and it was great achievement for him. he has been releasing rise on dessous, down the sky on poker flat and lovin ep on morris audio since then.

incl argy remix !! tokyo s rising star ryo murakami has already put his diverse, electronic sound on the map with the >rise< ep on dessous last year, and received great praise for his track >my soul<, snapped up by steve bug for the fabric mix series, which was piled high with atmosphere and dark, club energy. his next 12 includes two new tracks, the title cut being >down the sky<, cooly influenced by old school house, but also more recent european forays into night music. ryo demonstrates a heavy aptitude for stripped down futurism, with staccato, jilted beats, joined by layers of padded synth structures, looming somewhere between light and darkness. the b side, ‚coke‘ (no questions asked) welcomes another one of ryo‘s extended journeys, this time a stronger, peak time groove which never lets off, and builds around layers of spaced out, pitching fx. brain-tingling pitching synths heat things up, before laying down a super-funk hook that melts on top of the beats irresistibly. ryo then leads us head-first into a series of spac d out, jacked-up movements, characterised by risque, feminine vocal snippets. poker flat‘s young greek maestro, argy, creates a stunning hi-tech remix of ‚down the sky,‘ complete with mesmeric dub influenced chord stabs and tripped out washes of delay. once again carrying on the vibe of the original, but twisting it into an altogether different beast, argy takes ryo‘s warm synth stabs and shapes the remix into a slow paced yet pumping club tool.
