“world building” is a blissful and introspective mission into melancholy that wanders over terrain both familiar and unknown. bright and sparse melodies shimmer over icy landscapes, hewn with a careful composition and attention to the most minute detail. ghostly voices swell into symphonic chorus while an analogue rhythm section keeps an almost human-like groove. arguably his most complete work to date, “world building” is a satisfying listening experience with a strong narrative - an auditory tale of an epic journey with warmth and depth from one of europe’s most exciting producers. pressing on green marbled double vinyl.
kanzleramt presents * consistency remixes*, a three track remix ep of as-yet unreleased ray kajioka originals, hinting at new material on its way soon from the berlin-based artist and kanzleramt mainstay. the ep will land on vinyl in september of 2016 and features remixes from detroit legend rolando, as well as the persuader (aka jesper dahlbäck) and kanzleramt label-head heiko laux.
guitarist rolando bruno hails from buenos aires and got his start playing a raw brand of garage and punk with his band los peyotes. a few years back he took a step into the not-so-distant world of afro-peruvian psicodelico that s had a recent renaissance throughout south america. what made his early forays into a more tropical branch of fuzz so unique was his accompanying band-or lack thereof. armed with an electric guitar and self-produced and recorded backing tracks, rolando bruno and his orquesta midi jet-setted across europe and japan as a mad scientist one-man band, laying down a relentless style of chicha classica gone loopy that earned him several tours and a full-length album with the swiss imprint, voodoo rhythm. originally recorded in 2011 and now remastered and presented by names you can trust on vinyl for the first time, these two tracks are a glimpse into rolandos prolific electric madness and a lysergic-laced pointer towards things to come from the talented six-stringer.
good job 030303 got their hands on these six tracks by rolando simmons as they remind you of where acid got its name from: this is music to trip to. the 303 is abused to the fullest while simmons adds snares and outlandish melodies to the acid bubbles and bleeps that are never far away.
we dont need to tell you that rolando is a figure synonymous with the roots of techno. regularly djing in berghain, his unique brand of techno and heavy electronic funk has continued to evolve naturally into the sound youll here today. on rolandos first 12inch for ostgut, we find two diverse tracks each shedding light on the different poles of his current sonic focus. ben klock featured both >de cago< and >junie< on his >berghain 04< mix, and now we can enjoy the full tracks in their own right. the proud heritage of >de cago< is clear from the outset, yet rolando works crisp modern drums and edgy acidic synths into the mix, resulting in a potent concoction of jacking, edgy technofunk. unapologetically raw and gritty - and all the better for it - is >junie<. introducing a different production methodology, this multi-layered half-tempo exploration into eerie harmonics and slow building passages is the latest incarnation of rolandos emotional and instinctive melody writing
rolando now marks his return to the forefront of the scene with the afterlife ep. a deeply textured collection of tracks that represent a significant stage in this latest phase of rolandos career with his music characterized by its smooth blend of warm, deep, groovy techno.
standing somewhere between techno and house and taking influence from the true sound of latin music without sounding derivative, los hermanos releases remind us that the best detroit techno defines what is truly >deep<.
4 x lp version of tracks from rolondos forthcoming mix cd on nrk nice spectrum of both techno and house including tracks by dj sneak trevor rockliffe feat blake baxter trackheadz and many more a must have

second chapter in the af voiceless series. the label run by pervert keeps on broadening its own catalogue by adding artists committed to the underground electronic cause. this ep is a 5-track new voyage through analogue-crafted soundscapes, acid-injected breaks, thudding bass lines, warm and intricate melodies...the sheerest voice for the voiceless. af005y introduces new members to the family as houston-based daed (ian lambert), who displays his ability to create a perfect acid-glitched called pulse lunar . thus, smiley moon is above all a glimpse into the analogue world of the well-known rolando simmons, proving himself he s one of the brightest electronic artists of the moment. sheffield based dave forrester (techdiff) twists the modular in jamuary with a killer aphexian/jenkinson temper. longing raving days are depicted in quest with an evocative electro halo by the hand of the irish producer cignol. last but not least, smoke , an acid junglist and braindance orgy signed by gareth clarke, known for his previous works on canada s sublight records (venetian snares, bill laswell) and lovelove records. limited and handnumbered as usual.

12" Vinyl NL09.10.15
gary martin releases his second sequential ep on motech records, the *this is it* ep. the ep features two more exclusive tracks, *this is it* a driving composition accented with piano and synth patterns and subtle funky movement, and *galaxy style* a percussive, building composition expertly laced with muted samples and synth progressions.
included on this ep are two remixes from techno veterans mark broom and rolando. broom takes on *this is it* chopping the original into a hyper dance floor drubbing burner. rolando re-treats *galaxy style* into a composition that unfolds as it progresses, bathed in signature rolando production elements.
a distinctive feature of joachim spieth s music is the way how he s using filters. after sensualized and dark matter 12 s, under the city witnesses this again. with just a few sounds he s shaping an environment that is triggering the listeners perception. the remixes from rolando (underground resistance, roland rocha records, ostgut ton) and reggy van oers (affin, green records) are completing this timeless release on affin.
man of mystery, a sagittariun, may not be the first, nor the last, in a long lineage of techno producers to go undercover and under a veil of anonymity, but the west country artist doesnt use this cloak to stir up any hype, quite simply the music does the talking, and since 2011, has released a breath taking selection of music on his own elastic dreams label. and so the archer lands on hypeltd after only one other foray onto labels other than his own (2014s lost cities ep for secretsundaze).
