repress 2023 - robag wruhme returns to kompakt after his much lauded thora vukk album on pampa. with donnerkuppel he resets the focus firmly on the dancefloor. with its dramatically beautiful ethereal hookline the title track is a perfect follow up to robag s previous outings on kompakt extra. one for those magical morning hours... wemmel is another fine example of his stunning craftmanship. it s floating freely between advanced deephouse and 2-step, dubstep, techstep and whatever step you want. polch dutto boils things down nicely towards the end with some lush soundtrack-like ambience.

external assessment vs. self-conception by robag wruhme: people always think, im that serene and quiet guy, but actually i’m quite a noisemaker. could be that the majority of the material he put out in recent years, most notably the thora vukk album, led to the overall apprehension of robag being the virtuoso of everything subtle, enigmatic and tenderly melodic. well, thats far from being a misconception, but still just one side of the coin. the other side is embossed with his most current productions, consolidated to a double ep, captioned with the enchanting name wuzzelbud ff. wait a second wuzzelbud devoted fans will instantly prick up their ears. we’ve heard that before. back in 2004 robag wruhme released his first longplayer named wuzzelbud kk. as theres no such scenario robag might be running out of stream-of-consciousness turned nonsense titles for his music, this must be a vocabulary intersection linking the early days of his career with its status quo. and it is. wruhme presents wuzzelbud ff as the stylistic follow-up to his debut album, showcasing a sound he commits has been neglected for too long. wruhme cuts to the chase: i wanted to put out some straightforward music for the dancefloor, something for the primetime. well, for the primetime of my sets, at least.

2x12 inch repress version (ohne downloadcode und ohne 7 inch bonus)!! in der pampa weiß man nicht, was einen erwartet. bei >thora vukk< sind ein heller und ein dunkler fluss ineinander verwoben und so verschieden die beiden stränge auch sind, so notwendig sind sie füreinander. die düsteren, herausforderenden klangräume bringen die melodischen, clubbigen tracks zum strahlen. die feingliedrigen grooves kommunizieren mit jeder einzelnen muskelfaser. sie ziehen an den gliedmaßen wie an den fäden einer marionette. bezaubernd schöne strings eröffnen ein packendes oder doch ungreifbares popmoment. durch die ständigen variationen öffnen sich die fächer der grooves immer anders. im gegensatz zum ersten robag-wruhme-album sollte das neue gesetzter werden und mehr mit melodien und mit selbst aufgenommen samples arbeiten - ideal für das schlafzimmer und für >fahrgastzellen aller art<.

circus company is proud to celebrate its first collaboration with one of the most emblematic and talented actors of the jena scene. for sure you know robag wruhme for is past work on his own imprint musik krause and on freude-am-tanzen alongside monkey mafia as the wighnomy brothers dj duet. this artist always stand out musically. from his past releases till today and across his remixes you cant miss his unique personality in music. this four tracker provides a colorful musical palette of mr wruhme. from the dark and minimal side of blech beulé to the «herbertish» robadella and the magnificent melodical slow mood of 48° 52&#8242,,,,,,,,,,,, n, 2° 21&#8242,,,,,,,,,,,, (in between, thats the location for paris on the map in case you loose yourself…) while he was delivering the tracks robag also requested a remix from ark, another strong character of the paris. ark did a a brilliant work on this blech beulé remix which gives a nice „avant goût“ of his upcoming album on perlon which will be out in april.

here we roll after a long pause back to musik krause. toting three nuggets brought to you with care which are somewhere between gentle hardcore with a weakness for the horns, and a warm coolness that finds its place without the chocolate cake. whoever thinks that what i am doing here is again on a peppermint accordion ditty got it twisted. dark, complex and almost avant gard-ish hearty.

silicone souls darkroom dubs label has pulled off quite a coup with their latest release. taking a retrospective look through the labels archive, the duo approached some of their favourite producers, asking them to rework and give their own take some of the music from previous releases... and boy are we in for a treat! the coup in question was the securing of the talents of a certain mr robag wruhme. currently enjoying the acclaim generated from his exquisite long player, >thora vukk< (pampa), wruhme has kindly turned his attention to remixing extrawelts >neuland< for darkroom dubs. the lead track from their 2010 >neuland< marked a key moment for the label, as silicone soul celebrated the signing of an act that they had admired for many years. robag provides not one, but two reworks of the stunning original, each as impressive and moving as the other. the second rework sees john selway turning filippo mancinelli & allen mays >the hills< on its head. the deepness of the 2009 original, is still in evidence as the atmospheric sounds sweep within selways wonderfully driving tech reconstruction.
