pig&dans first solo outing on drumcode since 2016!

a work 12 months in the making, adam beyer continues his exciting series of collaborative eps, teaming up with heavy-hitters pig&dan for an multi-faceted four-tracker. chances are up if you spied adam beyer in an airport departure lounge over the past 12 months, he d have his head buried in his laptop, immersed in creating sound sketches. a long-time fan of collaborations, the drumcode chief has been on an inspiring streak of form lately, teaming up with the likes of mark reeve, dense & pika and now pig&dan. the results have been compelling, to say the least. in trademark perfectionist beyer style, the title track capsule - a shimmering slice of techno - involved -around 15 different versions- the track rigorously road tested by the swede and featured in episodes of drumcode radio to test dancefloor reactions, before finally getting the sign off.

much may have changed over a two-decade period, but drumcodes commitment to releasing the scenes most cutting-edge and refined techno remains resolute.

when pig&dan decided to join forces, they began a truly prolific production schedule establishing their reputation as producers of pulsating electronic music that straddled dark house and high-energy techno, whilst creating their signature style of twisted and experimental breakdowns. since those early days, they have created a repertoire that not many can match and have constantly been releasing their music on the most respected labels and playing at the best events worldwide. pig & dan make their entrance to drumcode with a full force, four track ep. the mexico ep encapsulates pig & dan s well known signature sound with each of the four tracks bringing their own identity to the release. the tracks, laced with driving kick drums, modulated samples and thumping bass lines, come together to create a heavy yet dynamic ep that prove pig&dan are masters of their craft.

great to see terminal m queen monika kruse teaming up with her buddies pig&dan again. it s been more than a year since their common single releases on pig&dan s label elevate or terminal m but the two guys from mallorca have been very busy finishing their album, releases for drumcode and their upcoming space ibiza cd. meanwhile monika travelled the world more than ever with her dj bag to bring the techno message to even more places.

the unstoppable trio was back at work on mallorca in pig&dan s techno ministry to create another colourful techno anthem while alberto ruiz was literally next door to rework last year s anthem soulstice . monika kruse, the german queen of techno doing serious negotiations with the two elevate ministers definitely makes sense and should reign the techno world with all its power.

achtung, warning, balushi is out with two new techno bombs for the summer. on the a side let me be myself is a deep aquatic adventure with a huge basline chugging along. there are some deep dark underwater effects and vocal snippets which develop into a deep stabby groove that hypnotizes anyone listening to the track. there is then a break with a beautiful vocal derived from the snippets that refreshes the listener and takes them into another dimension before bringing them back into the heavy hipnotic groove. on the aa side we have the path one hell of a tecno crossover designed to electrify and rock summer crowds all globally...with a funky meaty bassline that rolls on and perfectly complements both rasta vocals and crazy electronic synths and squelches the path is a fat groove to look out for on the hottest dancefloors...

igor tchkotoua and dan duncan are true workaholics. not only are the two mallorquinos forming one of the most exciting techno duos of our time and play in the most famous clubs worldwide, they always make it to pop up in the studio to work on their releases on sonic society, wig records or like in the case of >deliverance<, the new 12inch on cocoon. >deliverance< starts quite cautious but the track becomes more and more complex – pig & dan give the dj a tool that fits the minimal raver like a custom-made suit. the b side is again one of those tracks that put a smile on your face. in >sly detector<, atmospheric techno sound unites with energetic celebration pleasure, just as we know it from tracks like >after ibiza< or >on to the beat<. the rolling hookline which has the necessary splash of acid is, together with the floating trance layer, adrenalising to such extent that nothing else remains to be done but to raise your hands in the air. the track was already a hit with many djs in 2007, and will be one – chosen in the right moment – on many dancefloors in 2008, too

their first release after the massive lp on cocoon recordings ! big one! pig&dan have been away with their heads in the clouds working out a new way to make our minds twist. they have finally delivered the new remedy that will enhance our sonic listening systems to the maximum. >magic valley< which is named after the valley in which their studio is situated in, is a full on deep pumping journey, that includes spooky samples of the ambience thats surrounds them. you can pick up the birds and horses amongst the melodies and pumping grinding beats. techno meets nature all together a great feel good factor and fulfillment of the senses.
