one of the most exciting artists to emerge in techno circles in recent times, drumcode is excited to present the labels first ep from boxia. over the last 12 months the uk artist has impressed with his classy take on techno that mines two decades of rave.

the sound is short and dry, like a fist colliding with leather or other flesh, but the repetition and reverberation transcend such violence and lead the listener to a heightened state by the time the parade is cancelled. a point of consideration. stick around because at least a few folks will still march and it could be a gorgeously lonely thing to witness

oxias classic domino gets reworked for its ten year anniversary - in 2 vinyl parts. a decade after initially seeing the light, oxias now classic domino gets reworked to celebrate its anniversary. the new release features a new cut by oxia himself as well as several remixes by none other than frankey & sandrino, robag wruhme and matador. the ep will be released through agoria’s newly found record label sapiens on february 24th. ten years ago the track made waves in the international dance music circuit, striking up chords with techno, trance and house djs alike to quickly become an all-time classic. having never expected the track to reach the status that it his, its a very dear project to oxia and he needed quite some persuading to give in and let agoria and his team create something that was worthy of the original. the set of tracks are the first officially commissioned remixes by oxia ever. finding remixers took some time, the amazing frankey & sandrino whos track acamar is my absolute favourite of 2015, matador that just launched his rukus label as well is the multi-talented ex label mate at kompakt robag wruhme. they are all incredibly gifted and fortunately patient enough to wait for this ep

oxia returns with a striking 5 track ep including 2 remixes by visionquest’s shaun reeves and 8bits own steffen deux! the bedrock of french quality techno has already created countless classics that proved themselves against the test of time and with unity ep, he’s bound to to it again. the up and down mixes of „unity“ take over with tight drums and rich bass carried by an airy vocal. oxia’s keen ear for detail adds the rest, making them perfect dance weapons for almost any setting. steffen contributes a deeper take on „unity“ working with subtle effects and evolving spheres to create that early morning vibe. „soulsa“ original and remix by shaun are completing the package with laid-back grooves and a fine tool for darker hours. this quality set couldn’t be more versatile, 2016 couldn’t continue any better!

eatbrain gain another slick addition to the collective, with the latest release landing from relatively fresh antwerp-based duo, hypoxia (titan records // dnb arena). members athys and syntopia craft a brand of tech and neuro dnb with a bleak aesthetic influenced by the more sinister areas of psychology. the anova ep takes its name from the analysis of variance statistical method, with the change here being the sinister journey into an internal void during the inception of its components.
