seasoned producer, musician and dj, mike monday has always been at the forefront of the uks electronic music scene. his skills have been honed and developed through years in the late 90s spent producing a variety of styles of music. time well spent indeed as this fertile training ground prepared him for the presentation of his critically acclaimed 2nd studio album, songs without words. heavily influenced by the dubstep and funky scene, yoppul has the ethnic sounds of london written all over it. its warm drums sounds, hefty bass and quirky melodies epitomize mikes signature sound and are a tribute to the soundtrack that is currently ruling his citys streets

mike takes his ambient album closer stargirl and remixes it into a carl craig inspired deep, minimal track with a gorgeous string section and some twisted computer arpeggios. saleri complex an extended club mix that uses eerie pads, detroit styled synths, and twisted vocal samples.

nice price deal !!! it doesnt happen many times anymore, that a dj play a song and you run to the dj booth and ask: what is this? the answer is: its mike monday - i dream of ducks. what we can say is - this tune is a 100% floor burner...love it or leave it!

the hype for mike monday is really hitting home. just this issue theres two pics in dj mag and three mentions plus hes in two separate charts –his new track on simple, bhalobashi, #10 in the hype chart and the album top 10 in the downloads chart. a >producer to watch< in mixmag – and were promised a rave review for the album in a fortnight as well. and thats not to mention the 5/5 review in idj with a raving three page feature, the continued presence of smorgasbord in dj mags >lps we cant put down<, its album of the week status in owtl and the profile out next week
