the new luca bacchetti ep, genesis, comes out on endless right on the cusp between the old and new year. once again luca divests himself of all preconceived ideas, taking the project into 4 separate directions, 4 different soundscapes, but maintaining as underlying common denominators the attention to detail that has always distinguished his productions and his unmistakable groove, the poetic dimension and narrative ability always manages to reach its peak in the breaks.

now ovo, the eagerly awaited new luca bacchetti ep, is here! with this work on his endless imprint, luca seems to be delineating a new soundscape, maintaining the psychedelia he introduced into his productions a few years ago, but now more synthetic and in some ways even minimalist. in ovo we can find a brace of dancefloor tracks, no gravity and the space between us, that maintain and harness luca s emotional and intricate atmospheres whilst also employing powerful sounds and elements that embrace the movement of the body. mature, emotional techno, where ethereal dream-like atmospheres find a singular expression and their own distinct identity. it is no coincidence that the whole ep was recorded entirely high up in the tosco emiliano apennines: a place where, for luca, nature is the element that most influences this new aural pathway. as he himself states: “it’s this contrast between isolated lands and the chaos of the big city that produces this state of being: a new dialogue. they are two worlds which overlap within my soul: when i’m in new york i think of these mountains and when i’m here i think of the bustle of tour life .. but it’s up here that i find the seed, in this case ovo.”

the hideout deconstruction revisited series is going into phase two, here we go: after the french connection (d julz and paul ritch ) , this new release sees a more international bundle of top class producers : to start , we have dusseldorfs master producer martin buttrich (desolat , planet e , ...) put his magic hands on davide squillace & luca bacchetti s around the bay ( ho001). the track starts with an >acoustic style< beat and, a strong sine sub bass line, evolving to a jacking groove with rising vocal sample , intelligent synth lines , and arabic flute break. on b2 , carola pisaturo ( titbit , claque) delivers a more minimal rework , using bouncy sub bass , vocal snipets , 909 snare and clap ... giving davide squillace and luca bacchettis around the bay a rebirth. on the flip side, mathias kadens ( vakant , cocoon ) relecture starts with a strong shuffled tribal beat , 909 toms , synth lines ... mathias interprets the original elements of around the bay in a very personal way , dropping snipets into reverbs and delays in order to create a deep rising atmosphere untill the track peaks.

mathew johnson: > ..amazing track!< alex neri is back with a new amazing production made at four hands with the new outcomer luca bacchetti. the guys at tenax are like a family and this production sees the work of jay haze and marco baroni too. it sounds different from anything else, it is minimal, techy but with some mediterranean sounds and melodies. unresistible on the dancefloors. the main version is very long so on side b the guys delivered a shorter edit.

wagon repair welcome a new artist to their ranks in the form of italian minimal master luca bacchetti. after a host of releases on italian label tenax, spawned from the cult club of the same name, this is a heavy dose of entrancing minimal - equally suited for the dancefloor or the late train ride home. a side >rolling brooklyn< pushes the envelope a bit further, a busy and investigatory track driven by sniffing snare sounds, moist synth balloons and screeching metallic accents. ascending from chaos to minimal bliss. distinctly urban, b side >what ever< progresses defiantly amidst reverb laden howls and sirens, throbbing to climax with stabbed bass and rolling percussion in an inpenetrable surge to the senses. final cut >flat mates< keeps up the pace. led by a dizzy synth haze and fueled by a tight house rhythm, luca adds acoustic metal drum sounds into the mix to broaden the tone.
