the totality of the many in one: cologne tape, an on and off gathering band from all over the world, did not call their second album welt without reason. the collective incorporates the nucleus of the label magazine and consists of the artists ada, barnt, jens-uwe beyer, jörg burger, john harten, philipp janzen, mario katz, john stanier and axel willner. all members live scattered between berlin, cologne and hamburg. they meet rarely and abruptly, but each of them always has the feeling that something relevant needs to be done. the ensemble’s name represents a city and the musical recordings that are made in it.their -rst release, -render-, marked the start of the label magazine in 2010 and found the way into dj sets by famed artists like dixon with music, which does not necessarily have the dancefloor in mind. subsequently, little, absolutely sublime pieces of cologne tape appeared in the public.

the buzz has been around for some time, but now its getting real! the recently created cologne label magazine will release its debut record >cologne tape.< until now, they have made their appearances almost hidden, but it might not be too far-fetched to refer to them as a kind of supergroup: cologne tape are ada, axel willner (the field), joerg burger (modernist, burger & voigt), philipp janzen (von spar), john stanier (battles), jens-uwe beyer (popnoname)

incl. rob acid aka robert babicz mix, after it has been a long time since a record was released on our favourite label fq inside, is it more than time to bring one out…here and now we come with a really fine acid track. it was produced by gabriel fiebelkorn from cologne. thats probably the reason why it was named >burn cologne<…but cologne isn t burning, but for sure the track is – it pumps and pumps and pumps, that it is a really great pleasure to listen to it. it is a very great acid track without being oldschool. the rob acid remix comes along with his typical hypnotic style and flies with you around cologne. close your eyes and enjoy! fantastic!

there is no doubt that the native detroiter jeff mills, as >the wizard<, put his own mark on the cologne psycho thrill club-nights and thus the entire west german rhine area in terms of techno in the years 1991-2007 through his innumerable appearances in the cologne clubevent institution. mills track >mosainga<, which was given to claus bachor in 1996 for publication on his own label, also played a significant part in this well beyond the 2000s. in 1997 for the first time (unofficially) released in advance via roland caspers essence label on a >psycho thrill ep< white-label limited to 500 copies, mosainga finally appeared remastered in 2004 on psycho thrills own >motor city dayz vol.1< (ptne 2111) compilation including a dj-friendly bonus loop and then finally made its way straight into the clubs of the world. the track then received renewed attention beyond its natural decay value in the cologne bnkr years (2011-2016), which were deeply shaped by psycho thrill itself for colognes nitelife, in which the cologne label completely redefined the entire techno culture of the dome metropolis in its own way 2 be propelled forward once again.

zum 20. jubiläum präsentiert das nachtdigital festival sein erstes doppelvinyl: nach sechs split-eps und mini-compilations in den vergangenen jahren macht das zum festival gehörende label nun den nächsten schritt. -nachti xx- versammelt beiträge von kollaborativen projekten die auch teil des festivalprogramms sind. die erste platte bestreiten giegling und klm (ein speziell für diesen anlass zusammengestellte formation aus kassem mosse, lowtec und mix mup), die jeweils eine ganze seite bespielen. vinyl nummer zwei vereint pandt und cologne tape mit einem beitrag aus der crew des festivals. das ganze kommt in einem von hausgrafiker manuel birnbacher gestalteten gatefold-cover, ist wie immer streng limitiert und wird ausschließlich auf vinyl veröffentlicht.
