its not a simple thing to write about your own tunes. your concept is innate, the music itself is in your mind and comes out as a natural flow, talking about it is a different thing. this time i wanted to come up with something different for my new ep on vakant. something unexpected for the ones who know cesare vs disorders sound.

stylistically different from their previous releases, the dynasty ii ep is a catchy, propulsive and perhaps at times even romantic release. providing four energetic songs of varying mood, the ep proves that the boys can always deliver. the ep included cesares road tested >what do u want<, a straightforward old school banger with deep distorted synths and a monster vocal hooks. the track is then also remixed by both jeremy & cesare adding both depth and character to the already powerful original.

barcelona-born rainer grew up in california, but it was his move to london in 2007 which led him to start collaborating with cesare vs disorder, playing out around town and beginning his production career with the popular >neuralgia< under his belt. the obvious next step for him was to hitch his wagon onto the well-traveled route onto berlin where he now presents his second release on cesares serialism records. >x-berg to san diego<, a production in conjunction with the labels head honcho, a paean to his newly adopted stomping ground and the town of his youth. a tough house beat leads with a funky guitar picking out groove along the way, an oscillating vocal hovering into earshot as old-school snares jack it up.

mikael stavöstrand and cesare vs disorder are not new names to techno or house, and between them they have an impressive discography of over 40 releases that have consistently maintained their underground integrity, winning over the hearts of the electronic music elite. there is no doubt why the bulk of their supporters seem to be the most esteemed listeners, and when we see their names together we have no choice but to be compelled to listen. after making their collaborative debut with part 1 on dumb unit in january 2011, the pair comes clean with a follow up ep on clink that is earthy, sexy and elegant.

azimute, das sind cesare marchese und der einigen techno-insidern nicht unbekannte schweizer philippe quenum. was die beiden zusammen fabrizieren lässt uns tatsächlich sprachlos zurück: obwohl sie gerade mal auf sieben releases zurückblicken, haben die zwei es doch tatsächlich geschafft in kürzester zeit auf labels wie crosstown rebels oder sogar transmat zu landen… und jetzt auch noch den weg auf cocoon recordings gefunden! ihr titel „the secret“ gibt ein wenig vor, was wir gerade beschrieben haben, denn momentan kann man azimute noch wirklich als geheimtipp bezeichnen. ihr cocoon release dürfte einer unserer releases mit dem höchsten soul-faktor sein. betörende vocals, klackernde percussion-sounds aus den untiefen des techno-klanguniversums und im zusätzlichen house-mix noch mal alles mit warmen und hypnotischen filter chords dekoriert servieren uns azimute eine produktion mit unglaublich viel tiefgang. azimute erwischt uns hier voll auf dem richtigen fuß, die beiden originalversionen werden uns noch lange über die kommenden wochen begleiten. als bonus gibt es noch einen cristi cons remix obendrauf. in bester villalobos oder cadenza spielart entfaltet dieser über sage und schreibe 11 minuten und 34 sekunden seinen minimalvibe und öffnet damit noch mal eine weitere faszinierende musikalische tür. drei versionen, die alles aber nicht gewöhnlich sind und die hier seit tagen in heavy rotation laufen! mile grazie azimute!
