>can ting< is west indian slang for a steel pan, a much loved instrument in the caribbean world. here the duo takes on this magnificant sound maker that brings people together in massive street battles containing thousands of practising steel pan musicans playing all thru the night. due to its complicated note structure and technical limitations in tuning single areas in the steel pan, this instrument requires many years of practising. the sound of a one hundred man strong steel pan orchestra is something everyone should see and experience once in their lifetime.

brommage dub is jesper dahlbäck and jean louis huhta.the two has recorded music together under this pseudonym since the mid 90s when the first releases came out on svek. in fact this year would be a perfect 10 year anniversary for this duo. this is the first release on their own imprint bromma, which is a part of stockholm 5 km west of the city. this was the home for jean louis during the early years of their produciton phase and which gave the duo their name. carbon oxide is a gas which was produced in the factory where jean louis huhtas studio now resides
