the project was initiated by pierce s friend and collaborator cypress grove, who invited various artists to reinterpret or complete pierce s songs using his original demos, lyrics and notes. the project features a stellar line-up including nick cave, debbie harry, mark lanegan, lydia lunch, warren ellis, hugo race and many more.
